The GSPCA is not just one person, it is many people who go about their different jobs all with one goal, helping the animals. From the people who run our shop, who keep us going financially, to the people who come in every week to buy what's on sale or donate to keep the shop going.

It's the people who put a few bob in an envelope because they heard we needed that few bob. It's the people who every month donate to keep an animal fed, to heat the sanctuary or to pay for a worm dose. These people are from all over the world.

It's the people who run our office who have to deal with difficult calls and people every day. It's our field officers who respond to calls never knowing what they will see or find.

It's the people who come in every day to mind the cats in our city cattery, take home our sick and weak ones and restore them to health. Not only cats and kittens but the sick dog or pup as well.

It's the lady who keeps our website up to date, to the admins who monitor and update our facebook.

It's the staff and volunteers at the sanctuary that turn out in all weathers to look after, love and nurture our animals there. It's the people who adopt our cats and dogs and give them great homes.

It's the vets who perform miracles on the animals that so need the special operations to put them back together again, who don't look on them as unwanted but treat them with respect.

It's the person who finds an injured animal and does not keep walking, but stops picks up that animal and gets it to the vets in time to save its life.

It's the people who fundraise and organise events for us and the hotels and bars that give the rooms free for functions. It's the companies who take us on board and organise things to help us improve the lives of our animals. They do this by installing a new water system, alarms to protect and new floors to name but a few.

It's the local radio, papers and television who tell our stories and help us get the urgent messages out there.

It's the committee, all volunteers with full time jobs, but who give a 7 day week, 365 days a year to keep it all running.

So you see we are many but all with one goal to help the ones who need us most.
