SUMMER WEATHER WARNING

With the Summer season with us there is always a slight risk of experiencing seasonal weather so when we do eventually have our heatwave, here are some things to keep in mind.

Please don't leave your dog in a parked car for any length of time as temperatures inside can rise to dangerous levels even on an overcast day. Leaving windows slightly open will have little effect, your car is the same as an oven and your dog will cook. So even if you are just nipping to the shops it's best to leave your dog at home.

Leave extra water out for your pets and the wild birds as well. Wild birds need water to wash as well as drink. Farmers and horse owners we ask you to check your animals drinking water area and make sure there is a fresh supply and that the water is not green and full of dead leaves etc.

Rabbit owners please make sure their little bums are clean, because flies will lay their eggs if not and that is very serious for the rabbit, make sure beds are clean as well.

Enjoy the sun whenever it appears.
