CHARLIE (TIMMY)

Hi All,

Have been meaning to write for ages, I have attached some photos of my little pride & joy - Charlie. Got him from his foster home in January 2010. It took him a few days to get over being away from his little brother, both were found weak and limp and were not even strong enough to stay in the sanctuary, so were fostered for a few weeks (thanks Tanya!) He is here at my feet, snoring away as I write.

I can't imagine the house without him - he is the best little companion ever - cheeky, funny, loveable and a little scamp - shoes, socks, knickers & bras can all end up chewed to bits!!! He loves to see the laundry basket coming, and has been known to take clothes out of the machine! Seriously though, we go for walks in Merlin Woods, Ballyloughan Beach and run around the pitches in GMIT. no need for gym membership with this little fella!

We had a few rough weeks when he was ill, but thankfully the vets in Glenina are terrific - poor scamp can't process the high protein in most dog foods, so we had to change his food to a lower protein content, coupled with a few weeks on steroids but all well now - Even when he was not feeling well his happy little manner never changed and he never stopped wagging his tail.

He is a little treasure and I am so glad I decided against buying a pedigree puppy with papers(was on route to do that when we passed through Killimor) Charlie deserved a loving home, where he is safe and loved and has grown into the best companion ever. He loves going on his holidays to my Mum's when I have to go away with work - he gets to play with Jesse, our 2 yr old JR/Yorkshire terrier cross. Going out to Heathlawn was heartbreaking, I could have brought 10 dogs home with me, but my house/garden is only big enough for my little Cha and his toys.

So glad he is here, keep up the great work. Orla Costello
