ELSA

Dear Jacky and all the staff at the Sanctuary in Loughrea.

Before the summer I adopted Elsa bringing her to live with us in Galway, with our dog Jasper. I thought I would write and send a couple of pictures. She has settled in really well. She loves her walks and playing with the balls. She is now good friends with Jasper and they have lots of play around the garden with each other. Even though she is much smaller than him, she is the boss and she puts him in his place if needs be. Jasper loves to swim at Silver Strand. Elsa is still afraid to swim completely but loves to run on the beach and sometimes paddles to bark at the sea birds or retrieve her ball if its gone in the water.

When we first had her she was afraid of the utility room and of my husband. Now she is very happy and not at all afraid of anything or anyone. In fact you have to be quick to put her on the lead if there are any passing tractors or lawn mowers as she loves to chase them. I am really glad we adopted her. She is a very happy friendly dog, great company in the house and good to take out for a walk. Friendly with other dogs she has joined the crowds of adopted GSPCA dogs who now get their walks in Cappagh park every day. My children love her and she is good company for Jasper and has livened him up, making him younger than his 7 years when they play together. She even gets him to run sometimes!

Thanks for all the good work you do, and for recommending Elsa to us.

Kind regards, Sally
