Hi all, just a quick note to let you know how Freeway is getting on. We have had him a week now and he is settling in really well. He has a new name - Marley, and is responding to it already.

He is a really intelligent little guy and has picked up basic commands really quickly. I have been taking him for long walks in the woods every morning and evening and he really loves it - sniffing around after all the rabbits and foxes! He likes water too and will walk through every puddle he finds on the way home! I had him at the seaside during the week and he really enjoyed that too. He is a bit unpredictable around the cats but we are working on introducing them slowly and he is getting better. He loves traveling in the car too - the other day he got into Daniel's van and refused to budge until Daniel had to bring him for a spin around the block!!

He is lying at my feet right now as I am on the computer and he is great company for me during the day when I am working from home. Hes possibly getting a little over protective though so we will have to make sure we get on top of that. I don't know why the other family who had him had trouble getting him to come in the house cos we are not having that problem at all. He scratches at the door to get back in after his walks. Our vet has given him a clean bill of health. He has a few missing/broken teeth for some reason so he may have to take out the roots later on so that they will not cause him any pain.

PS He is really tired after his walk in the photos I have attached which is why he looks a little worn out! He isn't too keen on having his photo taken! I will keep you updated on his progress and will bring him to visit soon but we are really pleased with how well he is settling in so far.
