I have found your page again, because my friend considers adopting a dog. Surprisingly I found sub-page with animals that had been adopted, so I'd like to join and thank you for such lovely dog I rehomed.

This is Monty (we didn't change his name)- about seven years old retriever, who's been with us since July 2007. Although he was a coward type dog at first, scared of noise and sudden movement, he become best friend and inseparable part of family. We believe he has still some bad memories from past, he doesn't tolerate gray haired men around (previous owner?) and becomes very suspicious against stranger man, he loves women :D Typical man, pity that had been neutered :D He is still afraid of darkness and closed spaces. He sleeps in utility room with kitchen door wide opened, unless he will cry!

But best of all, he adores children at any age. We are family with two children, younger girl was less than year old, when Monty was adopted, they become best pals, going together everywhere. She spoils Monty a lot, and he is very, very protective of her. He would chase any bird that tried to land near her! Monty is the most quiet dog in estate, and all kids around loves to play with him. He's a kind of dog, that child could do ANYTHING with him, even pulling his tongue out.
