MOXY (BUFFY)

Hi there, it has been 9 years now since we adopted Moxy (then Buffy) from you! and we thought it time to give you an update.....(better late than never). When we collected her from you all those years ago we all thought she was already a fair age; judging by her teeth (or lack of) by her coat and her general health she was guessed to be between 9 and 12 years old then, which would make now her 18 at least....we have stopped counting and she is 16 for the last couple of years now..... She was incredibly shy but feisty! But over the years came around and became years younger when her new companion arrived a few years later when we moved to Sligo. Although not the most interested in other dogs or in affection in the forms of pats from strangers, she loves being close! (of course also on the off chance you happen to drop a steak...she knows I am vegetarian so has taken to eaten the odd carrot to be polite) She is undoubtedly becoming a little old lady, but being a terrier she is also still relentless in wanting to pursue all sorts of smells (preferably underground) and food remains the focus of her attention. With the years however her time is mostly spent snuggled up with anyone who has some body heat to spare and sunshine is always much sought after! Tim (the black elderly gentleman in the tuxedo) joined the household about 5 years ago and perhaps not quite siblings, the two are the best of friends and although chalk and cheese a better match could not have been made. We are aware she won’t live forever but if she can go as healthy as possible and enjoying her old age in the sun, on the couch or with nose in something smelly we will be very happy and proud dog owners! Thank you so much for matching us at the time with this wonderful live wire in the form of Moxy! She has given us enormous joy and will surely continue to do so right till the bitter terrier end. All the Best Vanya and Derek Ward.
